Hasta hace unos a\u00f1os, la \u00fanica manera de obtener esta informaci\u00f3n era mediante t\u00e9cnicas invasivas como la biopsia de vellosidades coriales y\/o amniocentesis que, aunque aceptables, conllevan siempre alg\u00fan riesgo para el embarazo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El test de ADN libre en sangre materna <\/strong>es seguro, ya que <strong>no invade el entorno uterino<\/strong>, y la toma de la muestra de sangre materna se realiza de forma similar a la de cualquier an\u00e1lisis de rutina. Se puede realizar <strong>a partir de la semana 10<\/strong> <strong>de gestaci\u00f3n<\/strong> anticip\u00e1ndose a todos los dem\u00e1s estudios prenatales y con una <strong>tasa de detecci\u00f3n superior al 99%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Puede realizarse tanto en<strong> embarazos simples como m\u00faltiples, monocoriales o bicoriales, y en pacientes con embriones provenientes de ovodonaci\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La muestra es enviada al <strong>Laboratorio Illumina en EEUU<\/strong>, y los resultados <strong>disponibles en un <\/strong><strong>plazo de entre 7 y 10 d\u00edas luego de realizada la extracci\u00f3n<\/strong>. La informaci\u00f3n es recibida y entregada a la paciente.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:30px;width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-menu-anchor\" id=\"2\"><\/div><style type=\"text\/css\">@media only screen and (max-width:1024px) {.fusion-title.fusion-title-3{margin-top:0px!important;margin-bottom:30px!important;}}<\/style><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-3 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-three\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:30px;\"><h3 class=\"title-heading-left\" style=\"font-family:&quot;Source Sans Pro&quot;;font-weight:400;margin:0;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 informaci\u00f3n me brinda este estudio?<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p>El <strong>test de ADN libre en sangre materna <\/strong>tuvo como objetivo inicial el de descartar las <strong>principales y m\u00e1s frecuentes <\/strong><strong>condiciones cromos\u00f3mica<\/strong><strong>s<\/strong> responsables de los s\u00edndromes de Down, Edwards y Patau, como as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n las anomal\u00edas de los cromosomas sexuales <strong>e informar el sexo fetal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s adelante, los avances de la tecnolog\u00eda posibilitaron ampliar la identificaci\u00f3n de estas alteraciones en <strong>todos los cromosomas<\/strong> y hoy es posible descartar <strong>TODAS las trisom\u00edas<\/strong>, independientemente de su prevalencia.<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Existen otras formas en las que pueden verse afectados los cromosomas responsables de distintos s\u00edndromes igualmente severos. <strong>Las microdeleciones <\/strong><strong>(micro=peque\u00f1o \/ deleci\u00f3n=ausencia)<\/strong><strong>, se definen por la <\/strong><strong>falta de peque\u00f1as <\/strong><strong>porciones de <\/strong><strong>informaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica en <\/strong><strong>en sitios espec\u00edficos.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mediante una lectura m\u00e1s profunda sobre la misma muestra de sangre, se pueden pesquisar en forma adicional a las trisom\u00edas, <strong>6 s\u00edndromes cl\u00ednicos de relevancia<\/strong> provenientes de microdeleciones.<\/p>\n<p>Se pueden pesquisar anomal\u00edas cromos\u00f3micas precozmente o en el contexto de un marcador ecogr\u00e1fico sospechoso, en general tienen <strong>manifestaciones diversas en el desarrollo estructural y\/o intelectual del feto o pueden estar asociadas a interrupciones espont\u00e1neas del embarazo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Algunas afecciones se presentan \u201c<strong>de novo\u201d<\/strong><strong>, independientemente de la edad materna y\/o sus antecedentes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:30px;width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-menu-anchor\" id=\"3\"><\/div><style type=\"text\/css\">@media only screen and (max-width:1024px) {.fusion-title.fusion-title-4{margin-top:0px!important;margin-bottom:30px!important;}}<\/style><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-4 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-three\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:30px;\"><h3 class=\"title-heading-left\" style=\"font-family:&quot;Source Sans Pro&quot;;font-weight:400;margin:0;\">Ya recib\u00ed toda la informaci\u00f3n \u00bfComo procedo para realizar el estudio?<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p>Previo a la extracci\u00f3n de sangre siempre se coordina una <strong>entrevista con un profesional del equipo de Veragen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Durante la consulta podr\u00e1s <strong>evacuar todas tus dudas,<\/strong> <strong>realizaremos\u00a0una ecograf\u00eda de control para ponderar la actividad embrionaria<\/strong> <strong>en ese momento y certificar que las semanas necesarias para realizar el estudio sean las correctas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Se completa la <strong>documentaci\u00f3n<\/strong> que acompa\u00f1a la muestra para luego proceder a la <strong>extracci\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Todo el procedimiento est\u00e1 incluido dentro del valor del estudio<\/strong> y se programa para el mismo d\u00eda.
